When will my order be shipped?

We aim to process your order and get your hardware on its way to you ASAP.

If you order on a business day by 2pm, we aim to have your parcel in the post the same day. If you order outisde of this time frame, your parcel will be in the post the following business day.

We will advise you of the tracking number of your parcel so that you can monitor it’s expected arrival date through the Australia Post website or apps.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We use Australia Post (Express) to ship your order. Given the current climate with COVID, and the fact that Australia Post have suspended the next day delivery guarantee, it’s nearly impossible to provide an estimate. We believe this method of shipping has the best chance of arriving in an efficent time frame.

Where will my parcel be shipped from?

All parcels are shipped from our home office in Ballarat, Victoria.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept the following payment methods through our website:
– Paypal (credit card / bank account)
– Paypal Payin4 (split your purchase into 4 easy payments and pay over time)
– Stripe (credit card)
– Bank Transfer/Deposit (pay directly into our bank account using the provided details)
– Request an Invoice (our team can send an itemised invoice, perfect for businesses that require additional documentation)

Please note that orders paid using Bank Transfer/Deposit cannot be prepared & shipped until cleared payment is received, unless otherwise arranged.

What is BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) and does it cost any extra?

BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) is an emerging service that enables users to receive a product, whilst paying it back in smaller increments (usually over 4 instalments),

We currently offer Paypal Payin4 through our website checkout, and you may be able to access Afterpay through our eBay listing.

We are working to add more BNPL options to our website.

Subscription / Locate Portal

What network does the included SIM Card operate on?

The SIM Card is pre-installed into your device and automatically roams between the Telstra 4G/3G & Optus 4G/3G networks within Australia. 

Can I use the pre-installed SIM Card in my own device?

The SIM Card is programmed to work only in the tracking hardware as supplied by us.

It will not operate in any other device and any attempt to do so may damage or deactivate the SIM Card.

What if I enter an area with limited/no mobile coverage?

If your tracking unit cannot find a suitable mobile network, it will continue to collect location data and upload it when coverage becomes available again.

How often does my tracking unit upload it's location?

Whilst your device is stationary, a location update will be uploaded once per hour.

Whilst your device is moving, a location update will be uploaded every 5-10 seconds and additionally on change of direction (e.g. turning a corner or going around a round-about).

My device sometimes appears offline? Why?

There are a few different reasons why this may occur:

– Small mobile blackspots that you wouldn’t normally notice on your mobile phone, can have the effect of taking the device offline for a small period of time (usually less then 30 seconds).

– Larger mobile blackspots that are noticeable on your mobile phone, will have the effect of taking the device offline until the device is back in range of the mobile network/s. Your device will continue to collect data and upload once a connection has been re-established.

– The SIM Card may be attempting to switch mobile networks due to low signal, this process usually takes less then 30 seconds in which time your device will continue to collect data and upload once a connection has been re-established.

Is it possible to give someone else access to view my devices?

It certainly is possible to give either full or read-only access to one or more of your tracking devices. This will enable someone else access to view (and edit if applicable) only the devices that you give permission for.

It will also enable that person to receive their own notifications in respect to your tracking devices (e.g. leaving a certain zone or area).

Example 1 – use case is a care-giver being given access to view the current location of their elderley parents vehicles.

Example 2 – use case is a couple who both wish to receive notifications for device moment. They will both maintain their own individual login accounts with full access to the tracking devices shared across both accounts.

There is no additional charge for this service.
If you wish to set this up, the account holder will need to contact support so that we can assist you to set this up to the specific requirements that you are after.

What notification options are there?

We currently support notifications through the following channels:

– SMS (can take a couple of minutes to arrive – australian mobile numbers only)
– Email (can take a couple of minutes to arrive)
– Web (when signed into the Locate Portal)

We are working to get mobile apps up and running that will support push-notifications.

There is currently no limit to the number of notifications you can choose to receive and no additional cost for accessing the notification service.

What warranty is provided with the tracking hardware?

Your tracking device & associated accessories are covered by a 12 month warranty.

Do you have an installation service available?

We don’t currently offer an installation service.

If you wish to (or are required to) have your tracking unit wired into your vehicle but lack the knowledge to do so, your local Auto Electrician will be able to assist.

Prices will vary between companies and are not included or allowed for in the cost of the hardware.

What is included in my purchase?

Your purchase will include:
– 4G Tracking Unit (with pre-installed SIM Card)
– Power Cable (either OBD Power Cable or Hardwired Power Cable depending on the option chosen at the time of checkout)
– Instruction leaflet (including quick start guide)
– Cable ties and a small length of double sided tape for easy mounting
 

Do you offer a battery powered tracking unit?

We don’t currently offer a battery powered tracking unit, but this may change in the future.

We believe that a tracking unit on permanent power provides the best chance of maintaining a quality connection with a high degree of data accuracy. It also prevents the potential problem of forgetting to mount a battery powered tracking unit back into your vehicle once charged.

What are the basic steps for use once I receive my unit?

1. Install the unit as per applicable instructions (either Hard-Wired or OBD Power Cable)
2. Look for the lights to display on the egde of your tracking unit (red indicates power/mobile network connection and blue indicates GPS signal)
3. Login to the ‘Locate Portal’ with the user account that you created whilst eagerly waiting for your parcel to arrive.
4. As soon as your device can lock onto an accurate GPS signal, the location of your device will be shown on the map (this process can take up to 5 mins, and may initally appear to be innacurate whilst the device finds its bearings).
